Garden Shows are the perfect day out.
There’s the opportunity to talk to plant sellers, the people who actually grow the plants. This is the case at Royal Horticultural Society Shows. The Plant Marquees are choc full of beautiful plants. The scent is amazing, this is such a vital part of choosing plants & something that’s not available buying via the internet.
Here’s my list of the most unmissable Garden Shows happening over the next few months.
5-9th June Chatsworth Flower Show:
Find out more here.
8-9th June London Open Squares Garden Weekend:
Not actually a garden show, but access to all sorts of gardens & allotments, not usually open to the public, details here
13th-16th June BBC Gardeners World Live:

1-7th July Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival:

17-21 July RHS Flower Show Tatton Park

3-8th September RHS Wisley Flower Show

Get the most out of the day
I find photos a great aide-memoir, much easier to manage than a notebook & pencil. Do a bit of homework online before you go, so you can seek out what really interests you, & make sure you don’t miss anything.
