A greenhouse can make your life as a gardener much easier and more enjoyable, but unless you’re lucky enough to have a larger garden where it can be hidden away, it’s got to be stylish too.
I have to admit that I learned this the hard way. Eight years ago I bought a plain, metal greenhouse to grow plants for my show garden at Hampton Court.
It does the job, but lurks in a corner of my small garden looking rather ugly and I wish I had something like this:
Not only can a greenhouse be a smart addition to your garden, it can help you do all this too:
Extend the growing season
You’ll be able to sow seed much earlier in the year, when it’s still too chilly to sow outside.
Plants such as chillis appreciate the more consistent temperature of a greenhouse and you can easily grow salads all year round.
You can tuck up the tender plants that won’t survive the winter outside.
This means that you can have a wider range of plants, really useful if you like the more exotic types.
Think of it as a garden room
It can be attractive and stylish as well as useful.
There are lots of stylish greenhouses around, these ones are from:

Gabriel Ash
I’m certainly aspiring to one of these, how about you?
