There’s something rather indulgent about visiting a garden show when it’s hot and sunny and all the exhibitors are busy working to a dead-line.
Such a lot of hard work is involved, but as always, they pulled it off and everything looked sparkling and in tip-top condition ready for Press Day yesterday.
There are some lovely gardens at The Show and great ideas, these are some of the favourites:
Mid Century Modern:
I talked about this garden in my last post. I liked it because the space was beautifully divided and the orange Achillea and Kniphofia plants complimented the walls so well.
Room with a View:
Sustainable design is always very rewarding and reclaimed materials have been used creatively in this garden.
Timber sleepers for the deck and steps and metal rods to make a curtain-like semi-circular screen at the back of the garden.
The Garden Pad:
This garden comprises a contemporary, sunken space surrounded by plants, perfect for an urban garden.
MacMillan Legacy Garden:
Such an unusual shape for a garden shelter, I liked that it was on a paved island surrounded by plants.
There’s something here for everyone who like gardens and gardening, whether you want inspiration for style, plants, sustainable design or colour.
What do you think?
Feel free to leave a comment below about any of these gardens.
