My Friday inspiration this week is a very stylish bench from one of the Artisan Retreats at the Chelsea Flower Show, but it’s not just any old bench.
This inside/outside vintage bench is by V.V. Rouleaux, purveyors of fine trimmings.
Each of the slats is padded and covered in beautiful, grosgrain ribbon and the underside is covered in velvet.
Whether it’s garden furniture or plants, it’s always worth thinking about how things look in situ. I think this looks perfect against the grey background.
Place in a summmer-house if you aren’t brave enough to leave it outside, or it could take pride of place in your hall.
I have a list of large and small garden projects, and this is being added to it …… not sure when I’ll get round to it. I’m also keeping it in mind to use in a client’s garden … when the right project comes along.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
