My Friday inspiration this week is this lovely sleek garden bench, I love the timeless design which looks so contemporary
although it was designed in the 1930s.
It’s in the garden of The Homewood, a modernist house in Esher, Surrey designed by the architect Patrick Gwynne in 1938.
The garden is a delight to wander round, with great views back to the house, there was fabulous autumn colours when I went.
The Homewood is looked after by The National Trust, try and visit if you can, the house and it’s contents are a treat for anyone who likes modernist design.
